Ingredients
1 1/2lbsground round or chuck
2/3cupevaporated milk
1/2cupcrushed saltine crackers
1/2cupchopped onion
1egg
2cupgrated cheese ( I like Cheddarbut anything will do)
1Tbspdry mustard
1tsp. salt
1/8tsppepper
1Baguette loaf
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400.
Cut bread lengthwise and dig out insides of the bread leaving about a ¼ inch around the edges. Then cut into serving size pieces (usually about 8). In a large bowl mix together the rest of ingredients until well combined. Portion out meat mixture and mound the meat on top of each bread boat. Bake on a baking sheet for 35 minutes or until done.
To Freeze: Make sure you wrap each loaf individually in plastic wrap before placing in a zip top bag. Will freeze for up to 6 months.
To Reheat: Place on a baking sheet in a 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes or until hot all the way through.
